Coaches Head Coach Allison Wooley Coach Allison Wooley grew up in Austin. She attended Cedar Creek, Hill Country, and then graduated from WHS in 2000. To many she may be familiar! She was very active at WHS playing volleyball, basketball, and running track. Her main focus was basketball. She went to Trinity Univeristy where she continued to play basketball. Their team won the Division III National Championship her junior year in 2003. Hitting the game winning shot in the title game, Coach Wooley was named the MVP of the Tournament. While working on her Master degree in teaching she was a Graduate Assistant Coach at Trinity. While going to school and coaching she was also teaching kindergarten. During this time she was named the WBCA Graduate Assistant of the Year and asked to coach at Southwestern University. She coached there for two years. Coach Wooley still wanted to try teaching along with coaching. She left the college level to teach kindergarten at a small private school in San Antinio where she was also the varsity boys basketball coach. She wanted to move back to Austin so when the chance to come to her Alma Mater opened up she moved back. She coached the Freshman team her first year at Westlake, moved up to serve as the Junior Varsity coach last year, and now is the Head Varsity Coach. In addition to coaching she teaches Senior English. Although she is not married she hopes to be someday. She loves being outdoors, traveling, laughing, and good books! She graduated from Richard King High School where she played in the 1993 State Basketball Tournament and ran in the 1994 State Track Meet. After high school she attended St Edwards University where she played basketball. After graduating she coached volleyball, basketball, and track at Manor Middle School. At King High School she was the head basketball and cross country coach and assisted with softball and volleyball. She then moved to Austin and began teaching at Hill Country Middle School where she coached volleyball, basketball, and track. Coach Neira begins her first year at Westlake High School this year. She coaches the Junior Varsity Basketball team and assists with volleyball as well. In addition to coaching she teaches Collaborative ASL and Health. In addition to coaching sports, she loves to play any type of sport as well. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, running, biking, or just relaxing. She loves the beach and does miss it living in Austin. She loves spending time with her family especially her niece Camryn and nephew Cason.
